Cate and Dion are slowly getting the house in shape...while he gave Cate carte blanche for the main floor and upstairs, he decorated the basement ~ their strategy center, their "batcave" ~ himself. The final step is to have a Dis security system installed. Cate wants Shadow to test it ~ he has a reputation for getting into places otherwise believed impenetrable. Cate feels if Shadow can't beat the system, the house is truly secure.
When Aiden asks if Shadow will be joining them upstairs after the test, Dion sourly replies, "No!" Pressed, he admits to feeling perhaps a smidge of jealousy. Just a tiny smidge. Aiden is impressed that Dion - the most non-jealous man he ever met - admits even a smidge. Cate, of course, finds the whole thing funny...
