Jesse leads Evita into the empty Soundstage 5 for a serious talk, and hopes that he might get lucky as well.

"Babe," he says, pulling her onto his lap. "I totally get why your old man wouldn't want a guy like me banging his daughter..."

"Banging?" Evita asks, unfamiliar with the term.

"It's...uh...slang. For, um...dating."

"Oh! American slang is so...unusual!"

"Yeah. The point is, why would your father hire a P.I.? I mean ~ it isn't like I've asked you marry me!"

Evita strokes his face in loving confidence. "I know you are only waiting for the right time."

Jesse blinks, speechless for once.

"But he will like you, once he gets to know you as I do," she continues.
