Still Waters

Dion found the first day of Aiden's meetings rather dull - too much business that wasn't his. He decided to liven up his day with a visit to his old friend Rose. Rose helped Dion see that the end of his first love relationship was not a tragedy of Shakespearian proportions. Twenty-one to his seventeen, Rose took the emotionally shattered youth to the roofs of the city and helped him widen his focus. Rose relocated from the Big City to the West Coast several years ago for...business reasons.

*Grandfather Hughes arranged that his sons, neither of whom were inclined to make an honest living, have non-essential, well-paying jobs with full benefits, pension, retirement plan, etc, within the family business. His fortune, however, he left to Dion, to be administered in the form of a trust fund until his 30th birthday. Included were various "do not open until" letters, which dictated a number of very specific additonal requirements, such as which college Dion must attend, classes he must take, grade average, etc.
